Welcome Back!

Hey everyone!

Sorry for not posting in a while! I've been super busy auditioning and taking acting classes! You might have seen me in a back to school Walmart commercial. It was running in English and in Spanish. I had such a great time filming it! There were tons of kids there, and they were all super nice!! I had such a great time! For those of you who have been commenting, thanks so much for continuing to follow my blog!

I'd like to give you some insight to the audition process, something very few people know about. It's such an interesting process, so I'd like to let you know a few things about it.

Here's how it works. For certain TV shows, you will get called in for a "pre-read," which is where you work with the casting director and read the script. They usually don't record these, as these are just a preliminary audition. Sometimes, you don't go to a pre-read, you just go straight to the audition. The audition is when you go into a room with usually two casting directors, or a casting director and someone who's filming, or sometimes just someone who's filming. Then, there's the casting directors and someone filming. If it's commercial, this is usually the last audition. If it's a television show or a movie, you will go for a session with producers, where you read with them a few times. During this session, if it's a movie, you might do a "mix n' match," where you are placed next to other possible choices for a movie, or someone who has already been cast, to see how you get along and how you look next to each other. You can go in for producers more than once. For example, people who were in the running for the part of Hannah Montana went in 3 or 4 times! Then, you will get a call from your agent or manager telling you that you got the part!!

I recently auditioned for a feature film, so wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!

Can't wait to hear from all of you soon!!!

Bye!

Wells Fargo Commercial and an "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" Marathon

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year everyone! It's been a while since I last posted on my blog! I just wanted to let you know... I booked a Wells Fargo commercial!! I had a great time filming it! I played a really bad-- AWFUL violin player. It's a really funny commercial. I also wanted to let you know that there is an "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" marathon that started yesterday on CMT (Country Music Television). My group is on today with the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders! I know this has been on before, but I love to watch them dance. I've been thinking that I wouldn't mind being a DCC (Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader) when I grow up.

Fun Fact: At the end of most episodes, during the credits, you can see a "blooper" from the episode that got cut out during editing. These episodes took up to an hour to film, but they are cut to about 22 minutes for TV (plus commercials to make a 30 minute show). A lot of funny stuff happened that they just didn't have time to show, so when the outtakes are on, I love it! They also include some outtakes on the show's website: www.5thgradertvshow.com.

Bye!
